November 3, 2026 — General Election
Vote YES on the Schoolcraft College Millage Renewal
No new taxes. No tax increase. Just a renewal of the community investment that has powered affordable education and workforce training in our region since 1961.
About the proposal
What Is the Millage Renewal?
Schoolcraft College is funded through a combination of local property tax, tuition, and State of Michigan appropriations. The current millage is set to expire, and the College is asking voters to renew it.
This is not a new tax. Taxpayers will continue to pay the current rate they already pay. The renewal simply allows the College to continue collecting the same millage that has been in place — ensuring financial stability and responsible long-term planning.
If voters do not approve this renewal, Schoolcraft College would face significant cuts — including tuition increases, reduced student services, and elimination of community programs currently offered free or at reduced cost.
